How it all started
Bustler Market began back in 2017 as a small street food market in Derby and has recently grown into a multi-venue operation. We pride ourselves on providing a platform for independent food talent to grow while giving customers an all-inclusive bustling environment to taste food from around the world.
How it's going
In the last 5 years we have worked with hundreds of street food traders, providing a well marketed and successful platform for them to succeed during a time when, due to covid, the hospitality industry was struggling. Despite the pandemic having a huge impact on the industry, Bustler bucked the trend and our new Nottingham venue opened in October 2022; an old market building restored with Bustler charm, nestled amongst a unique blend of independents & creatives in the newly regenerated Sneinton area.
Open weekly, we currently have a rotation of around 3-4 traders and provide a selection of handpicked craft beer, cocktails and beverages, we host a legendary pub quiz, have live DJs and entertainment all weekend and welcome everyone from lil ones to your furry friends.
The Plans
After a successful 6 months, we are now ready for phase 2 of our plans to create Nottingham's independent food destination and add to the hub of activity in Sneinton Market. We are expanding our space and creating 3 permanent kitchens alongside an intimate espresso & wine bar.
This will give those passionate street food traders access to key facilities which will help push their businesses to the next level - being able to develop their menus, offer delivery services, expand their offering, collaborate on more events in the area, all whilst improving our customers experience.
We have great relationships with a variety of amazing, talented food traders both locally and nationally. We are confident having these permanent kitchens will only add to the lively food & drink scene the city has to offer.
We will cover the majority of the fit out by reinvesting any profits. However, fit outs don't come cheap and therefore we need to raise additional funds to make this unit happen.
